All Nations in God’s Purpose After our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He revealed God’s eternal purpose to His disciples. “And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself... He said to them, ‘this is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.’ Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His Name to all nations’” Luke 24:27,44-47. Most of us have closed minds and we need Jesus to open our eyes to see Him in all the books of the Old Testament, in the Law of Moses, in the writings of the Prophets and in the Psalms. Jesus broadened the vision of His disciples to see all nations in God’s purpose. The Protoevangelium: Genesis 3:15 Salvation is initiated by and achieved by God – “I will...” Salvation will destroy satan – “He will crush your head.”” Salvation will come through a Mediator who is related to mankind – “The Seed.” Salvation will involve the suffering of the Redeemer – “The enemy will bruise His heel.”
