​SUMMARY of GENESIS - The Book of Beginnings
  • Generation - Creation"In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1
  • Degeneration – Fall - Judgement"Cursed is the ground for your sake…" Genesis 3:17
  • Regeneration – New Beginnings - Restoration"So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth'." Genesis 9:1
 
Why is There Suffering and Evil in the World?
God created a good and perfect world. Man's rebellion against the Creator introduced decay, disease, suffering and death into the world.
 
Who Wrote Genesis?
Genesis was written by Moses, after the Exodus from Egypt (about 1445 B.C.).
 
When Did These Things Happen?
Genesis covers over 2,000 years of history, more than all other books of the Bible combined.
 
Where Are the Main Places in Genesis?
Eden, Ararat, Babel, Ur, Canaan and Egypt. (Present day Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt).

The Message of Exodus
  1. God is almighty.
  2. God is sovereign over history.
  3. God reveals Himself.
  4. God is holy.
  5. God is faithful in keeping His Covenants.
  6. God acts and intervenes in history.
  7. God judges sin, idolatry and false religion.
  8. God forgives the sins of His people.
  9. God speaks to people.
  10. God calls us to service.
  11. God guides His people.
  12. God provides for His people's needs.
  13. God protects His people.
  14. God rescues and redeems His people.
  15. God delivers His people from bondage.
  16. God lives amongst His people.
  17. The Lord alone is God. There is no other.
